We all have experienced how a nice warming meal on a cold rainy day instantly makes us feel cozy and happy. We all love food. There is hardly an event or celebration without food being an integral part of it. It is even a part of many religious ceremonies and traditions.

Food can make us strong and healthy and food can make us sick and it can kill us. But for today's blog I want to focus on food that makes us happy. 

Nearly 90% of serotonin, the chemical that makes us feel good, is produced in our digestive tract. Certain foods stimulate our digestion to create more serotonin as well dopamine and norepinephrine, the other two chemicals that play a crucial role in our mood.
